running on Nokia 6230 fw 4.44

Postby cashee » Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:40 pm

running on Nokia 6230 fw 4.44 :D

"bugs"

* time: shows me time +1 hour (phone is set to gmt +1)
* Shadow connection: not really working (at least with fw 4.44), have to disconnect manually (if not nothing happens), after that working as with jimm versions before 6230 automatic waiting option (let phone ask for every connection, @ 20% wait 1st connection disconnect, before letting 2nd connection reconnect)
* file transfer: not supported by phone

rest is working fine :D
Greetings,
Cashee

Looks like password typed in Russian letters does not work properly. The password is not saved (or is saved in wrong code table?). Each time I start Jimm I have to type password once again.

I've try this version, but it won't work on my phone nor java emulator. I think, there is few lines missed in Icq.java and ActionListener.java. I found there missed lines in MIDP2 version, and, because of them, compiled version is unworkable. Am I doing something wrong??

No, MIDP2 and SIEMENS2 files without FILES are not working. This is fixed now (but for now only in CVS)

The russian password is working, but not quite well. When I start JIMM with the _saved_ password, the ICQ server retuns 'wrong password' (or smth like that). But when I enter the account option and retype the password (_without_ restarting JIMM) it works!

No Minimize in this pre version. I will look for the saving routine of the password.

Is it possible, to do reply and re-send messages from history? And what about automatic reconnection?

Ok, I uploaded a new pre version. Now you can download pre2.

We have some bugfixes in this version as stated in the forum. Also there now is a Minimize option for the SE users. Please test and tell me how it works. Jimm should come to the screen if running in background and a new message arrives. On Siemens phones this option will exit Jimm so do not use it. I will try to get it safe for the release.

Please go on testing. I want all bugs out before the release.

This build also includes MOTOROLA build and new language files (SR,LT and IT) the others are still missing.

Please make some way to disable URL stuff, like CAMERA and FILES. I think, it will be useful not only for me. Is it possible?

Hi...

I've got a Nokia6230, Firmware 5.35, and I can't get this version working. After trying to connect it says most times "unwonwn error" (#100.0) or sometimes the well known #118.

The only version i got to work was 0.3.2_6230test. Whatever u dit to that version, can't this be done to the new version too?

Greets
Sebastian.

Hi, Andreas! Minimizing does not work properly on my SE k700i in jimm 0.4.0pre2. Just exit jimm
Yeah there is also the new problem with parol, after every exit it is changing on something wrong....

Sergei Sharpan:
Disable URL stuff? How do you mean that? You can use the build without files. It's not included there.

Basti79:
The code for the connection is the same. You have to use MIDP2 build and activate the Shadow Connection in the network options.

grobov:
I will check the minimizing stuff, but I cannot test it. What do you mean with parol? The password? Yes, there were some issues concerning that but this is already fixed by pilot so hopefully it will work in next version. Again I was not able to test this.
